My Review of Llewellyn’s Reiki album Reiki Gold
An honest review of the Reiki Album composed by Llewellyn “Reiki Gold”.
As a Reiki Master and practitioner, 1 of the vital components of a Reiki treatment or attunement is the Reiki Music which is played softly in the background.
The Reiki music played during either a Reiki treatment or Reiki attunement should be soothing, calming, relaxing, and meditative. The instruments used within the production of the Reiki Music should not be too pitching, or have to heavy a beat.
The album Llewellyns Reiki Gold produced and composed by Llewellyn, is so well composed and so beautifully instrumented, it has a great flow, each and every track gently blends into the next, and doesn’t disturb the meditative state one reaches during a Reiki meditation, I used the cd on 3 occasions during my daily routine of meditation and sending distant healing Reiki.
The beautiful way the strings, keys, symbols, and the angelic whisperings along with the mellow tune of the flutes throughout each track allow the mind to calm and clear, enabling the mind to become focused on sending healing messages to those who are needing distant Reiki healing.
Tracks 6 through to 10 In my opinion are great for everyday Reiki meditation as the tracks remind each and every listener of the 5 Usui Reiki precepts (principles), and during each of the 5 tracks I found myself performing a mantra of each of the 5 Reiki principles during each track.
The album is timed very much to an hour which will help guide any Reiki practitioner through their treatment of a client; although personally I don’t time my Reiki treatments and prefer to allow the healing needs to guide the timing of the treatment. Though most treatments are around an hour in duration.
Questions I asked myself during my review of Llewellyns Reiki Gold:
Q. Would I personally use this cd during a treatment of a client?
A. Yes: Upon my initial review of the cd I was concerned that it had 12 tracks and wondered whether the transitions between tracks would be disruptive. Much to my pleasure this was not the case; as I explained earlier each track flows gently into the next track seamlessly, and as a Reiki therapist I am concentrating on the healing of a client, and the client is in a relaxed state of mind I don’t believe there would be any issues with this compilation of Reiki music, in fact I believe the music would be beneficial for both the Reiki healer and client.
Q. Would I consider using Reiki Gold for meditation?
A. Yes: Again I was concerned about the number of tracks but this was alleviated during my use of the album for meditation and distant healing Reiki sessions.
Q. Would I use this album during a Reiki attunement?
A. I will try Llewellyns Reiki Gold for a Reiki Lvl 1 attunement, again I am concerned about the number of tracks and the transitions although the transitions didn’t affect me personally during my Reiki meditations, I’m unsure if it may affect a student or in fact my own concentration during the attunement process. Therefore I’ll leave this open for another blog post.
Q. Would I recommend Llewellyn’s Reiki Gold for home listening for relaxation?
A. Yes definately: The album is remarkably well composed, the use of instruments is bordering on brilliance and is very well timed, anyone who gets stressed or anxious would benefit from a Reiki treatment and listening to this CD.

Since you appreciate Reiki music, perhaps you would like to review TAO OF HEALING by Dean Evenson & Li Xiangting. This CD just came in #2 after Reiki Gold on the Holistic Healing site on about.com on their Readers Choice Awards. It is a very popular album of flute and Chinese zither and crates a perfect East-West mood that is excellent background for Reiki treatments. Let us know if you would like to receive a copy and where it should be sent.
