1. Chest expansion- Anti Aging, Mood elevating and growing  Great for good posture– From a seated or standing posture get arms behind back and interlace fingers. Draw arms away from your body and simultaneously draw shoulder straight down and back. Open heart center and breath heavily into lungs.  Activate back muscles. Maintain for ten deep breaths – be sure and breathe out fully. Do it again several times during the day.

2,  Seated spinal twist – Good for digestion and improved internal organ performance  From a sitting down yoga posture with legs extended, pull right knee into towards the body and band it, wrap left arm around bent leg, look over right shoulder.  Keep for 5 deep breaths, repeat on other part. Breathing tip – inhale lift from low back, exhale twist over shoulder – wring out your internal organs.

3.  Knees to chest- Soothes anxiety and upset tummy – lying down get knees to chest, hold back of knees and rock slowly from one side of back towards the other.

4.  Lying down spinal twist- reduces low back discomfort- coming from knees to chest keep right knee straight into chest, extend left leg. Draw right knee over straight leg towards floor – look over right shoulder. Inhale straight into low back. Don’t pressure or press just release and breathe.  Hold for 10 deep breaths. Change sides. Ideal to perform right after running, walking or any kind of aerobic session.

5.  Inversions –  Shoulder stand or supported Headstand  Anti Aging, good for Jet lag and hangovers. Coming from knees to chest support low back using hands, draw legs over head and slowly towards sky- hold core firm, activate leg muscles. Keep neck stationary, don’t look around. Keep for a couple of minutes. Release gradually by getting legs over head and rolling out one vertebrae at a time. Go back to knees to chest to stabilize back muscle groups and straighten backbone.

Stress Management means  basically, learning how to manage stress, by

seeing it, and releasing it.  Stress management, as discussed in yoga teacher training, is simply, a daily

process of releasing (releasing of tension kept  in  your body / mind).

Without this  releasing approach, we become candidates for ulcers,  heart

problems, migraines and early aging. All considered to be brought on by stress.

Stress Management methods, allow us to find out and feel, how, we

keep emotions, thoughts as well as encounters within our bodies.  Workouts will offer

us the opportunity, to tune into various moods, feelings, perceptions, and

states of consciousness apart from the low-grade stress levels, most people in

our society, work under.  Inside our hectic information society, we are

continuously swamped by external stimuli.  A good stress management program

can help tune out the exterior world, and enable the individual to drop

inside their bodies, and come across a place of stillness. Some techniques that help

in this process are yoga breathing, prolonged stretching, and body checking

– all completed in a quiet, warm room, with soft music playing or simply the

relaxing sound of one’s own, deep breathing.  We learn to raise the

probability of desired moods and feelings through  our heightened personal –

awareness,  while simultaneously  lowering negative states of stress and anxiety.

An excessive amount of tension may also result in a long period of  “flight or fight

syndrome”  which over time can drain the adrenals.   Members with a yoga conference and

stress management program acquire a highly effective understanding of how you can positively

influence health, reactions, emotions and response.   A great mind/body class

can provide you with the instruments you  could use throughout your  life.
